Not an extensive installation by any measurement, but still interesting to view, particularly from waaay up above at the mirador site on the valley edge, where you also have lovely views of much of the Orosi to enjoy.

The ruins at Ujarras are very interesting to visit. The grounds are lovely and there are some giant trees that may be almost as old as the ruins. It is not "touristy". There is no gift shop, snack bar nor admission fee. There are some small towns nearby where you can find services. I'm not sure if bus service is... More

This is mainly a church ruin and as such interesting by itself. It should also be noted that the area where you find this ruin is very beautiful and well worth a trip by itself. You can find a number of good restaurants close by located on cafetales with a lot of specialities including coffee. Everything from ice cream to... More

This was part of our Irazu volcano tour, and even though the ruins are not that extensive, it is worth it to have them included in the tour. We enjoyed them as much as we enjoy everything in this beautiful country!

We come here with students, and it is a little out of the way. Definitely worth a visit at least once while you are in Costa Rica.

The area surrounding the ruins is gorgeous. It has been meticulously maintained and costs nothing to see. Be prepared, there is no food available and you must seek out very few restaurants in the area.

This is said to be the oldest church in the country, and I have read that it was restored. That said, this the ruins of a church and surrounding fields. If you like old ruins, this is the place for you. Otherwise, dont expect too much. Some interpretation on grounds but not extensive. Its a lovely place to spend an... More

It is a nice location, the ruins are great but not that big in size, however the view during the ride and opportunity to have a meal on a local restaurant is amazing.
