Shelby was our guide for the 90 minute tour. The price of $18 was more then I have ever paid for the many many cave tours I have done all over the US, but non the less I wanted to go and it was good. The walk was easy enough for this 70 year old senior and with a light... More

Cathedral Caverns was a terrific stop on our way to Huntsville. Actually, it is worth a drive regardless of where you are going. The sheer size of the caverns is awe inspiring. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and very personable. The folks who worked in the store were equally as pleasant. The tour is about 1.5 hours long and... More

Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Stopping several times along the way to give information and answer any questions. The cave is beautiful. The rooms are huge and the path excellent. It has some normal cave dampness, but this is a great walk for all ages. They have a nice handrail throughout. I can't stress enough how wide... More

We believe we have top notch employees, but it is always nice to have a guest complement them as well! I'll be sure to pass your praises along to Alex. The entrance to our cave is 126 feet wide and 25 feet high, a possible world record for commercial caves and I'm thrilled you enjoyed the tour and hope you... More

What a wonderful and beautiful place! Our guide Alex was really informative! The walk wasn't too bad, all on a concrete walkway.

We visited the caverns on a side trip while driving home to Michigan. We took the tour into the cave. It was $18 pp which seemed like a lot, but was not given how fantastic this tour was. We only had 5 people on our tour, so we were able to take our time and soak in the natural beauty... More

These caverns are fun to venture through. It IS QUITE a trek, though. Our Fitbit registered 28 flights of stairs and that is only going up. There were that many going down, as well. So I felt like it was a workout, too. We enjoyed our tour guide Alex, as he seemed to have grown up exploring these caves and... More

The cave is very large and while the beginning is mostly made up of plain large rooms, the cave transforms midway with numerous columns, stalagmites, and stalactites. The tour is 90 minutes and did not feel rushed compared to other cave tours. (Look for the shark tooth in the ceiling!) The whole tour goes along a well maintained and paved... More

We live about 45 minutes away from Cathedral Caverns so it was a great rainy day choice for a family excursion. Easy to find and relatively inexpensive, the state of Alabama does a nice job in running the park and providing tours. The park has a nice visitor center that offers food, drinks and souvenirs. Once you pay, you assemble... More

First: the caverns were beautiful and well cared for. Our tour guide. His name was Ethan. Because of my disability at no additional charge they provided a golf cart to ride in. The cart was able to go virtually everywhere. So I didn't miss anything. There were some fairly steep inclines but Ethan went way out of his way to... More

This is a beautiful and unique cave, with some really interesting formations. You can really see interesting shapes that look like faces and a shadow that looks like Abraham Lincoln sleeping. (Look at the pictures if you don't believe me :-) The reason I say "They win" is because I have been in a lot of caves/caverns including most of... More
