This grotto features a lake of black water that creates an optical illusion - the cave appears much smaller than it actually is.

We were travelling around the island and this was one of our final stops, we enjoyed the caves and getting some pics. Worth a stop if you are driving around.

Really nice landscape and beautiful grotto, water is very cold but shouldn't be an excuse of not swimming. If you swim, go to the end of it even if it's dark, at the end is a small cave where u can seat.

This was such a nice stop, trails to different gardens, small waterfalls, a hidden grotto. Very cool under the trees and near the mountain waters. Relaxing and peaceful. Roosters walk around and gardens are lush. No fees to walk the gardens. Sufficient parking.

A lovely stop if you are driving around the island - and a great spot for portraits! Parking is relatively minimal, but there's not a lot of traffic on that road.

This site was right on the main road. Pull over and park in the small lot and walk through the site. There are two large grottos (a small, picturesque cave according to the web) to see. It’s a unique geological feature that you don’t get...More

You can't get into the Grotto. You can only see it from the outside. It's a nice thing to stop by, but you shouldn't put it on the top of your list on Tahiti. Better go to the center of the island with 4x4.

A couple of natural caves with small ponds on the bottom. Can't get too close cause of falling rocks danger. A quick 15 min stop on the way, nothing more..

Worth a short stop. The exotic plants are very interesting and it would help if one's guide could help identify them as not all are labelled. The grotto is a beautiful clear blue colour, but I would not recommend anyone swimming in it as there...More
