We went up the mountain on ATVs. Never would have made it walking. Although their were hikers. Astounding views of the bays and island.

The look out point provides a great setting for some of the best views on the island. Quite sunning scenery.

This is hard to describe....can you picture a narrow dirt road with paved lines for tire wheels, like a railroad track? Add some rocks, lots of them, and elevation as your vehicle climbs the mountain. Oops, the pavement ends and picks up again further up...More

We parked our rental car in the small lot immediately at the entrance. We chose a clear morning, about 8:30am. It was still very warm, but the view and hike, both up and down, were great! There was star fruit and passion fruit along the...More

We did a 4x4 tour with Tom. He took us up to Magic Mountain on small, winding, scary roads - but what a breathtaking view! It was so worth the trek up the mountain! MUST SEE!

The best view we had on Moorea, better than Belvedere (though you should do both). Go there by ATV tour, or do like us, park your car at the parking lot by the main road and pay 200xpf to the ground owners. Then walk up,...More

We took an Atv up the side of the mountain, which in itself was a really fun thing to do, but when you get to the top it's just breathtaking! The ride up was awesome but the view was just one word wow!

We experienced Magic Mountain via a ATV mountain 4x4 excursion. Loved it. Stunning scenery high up overlooking the beautiful blue lagoons in the background.

There are tours where u can drive yourself. But the roads are not very good and get washed out. This tour takes you and the driver pays so you can go to the private property. We were very happy with the way this tour was... More

The base of magic mountain is about a 25 minute drive from the Marina. Some cruise ships anchor in the northern bays of the island, so much closer if this is the case for your cruise ship
