One of the main reasons to visit Rarotonga, this is a great destination. Lots of fish and starfish to see when snorkelling in the beautiful clear water. Remember to take reef shoes as the coral is very sharp, as my husband discovered 5 stitches later....More

Muri lagoon is busy, and 'touristy', but for a reason. The water is beautiful and the views are stunning. There are rental places, bars and restaurants to stop at along the beach. If you walk a little further south it gets a little quieter.

A great spot for snorkelling and kayaking. Even though coral a little bland in colour, plenty of fish to see and sparkling water to enjoy. Grab your gear and snorkel at high tide. Can snorkel here without going on cruise and safe to venture out...More

I stayed at the charming Aroko Bungalows with a view of the lagoon and snorkeled between the small islands between Muri anf the outer reef. Absolutely beautiful!
