Wonderful for Plant Lovers. May be boring for others.

As a plant lover, I found this garden to be one of the best I have seen anywhere in the tropics. Especially since it is on private property. We paid the entrance fee but did not stay for food. Food area was very nice but restaurant looked overpriced. The garden is beautiful but may be overwelming and confusing if you... More

Unusual plants and also those native to the island all put together into a beautiful place. It even has a cafe on site.

The place is beautiful. But I think some signs around would be helpful. For example, I'd love more information on a tree that had dense red flower / leaf things on it, or maybe which plants are native etc . Aside from this, it was a nice walk. I feel like we may have missed some things, like maybe a... More

This place is just tranquil, the food is fantastic and service was great too. Everything is organic and fresh. Really everyone should try to go here, I loved it and will probably go again.

The garden is modest, but very beautiful with many paths and aisles of flowering trees and shrubs. Nothing is labeled. The gardens were open with just a donation to walk through. Ther is a cafe that is open for lunch, the food was very expensive, and while our chicken was tasty, we still paid $25 for a chicken salad sandwich.... More

My mother and I had delicious lunch here and wandered around the beautiful gardens afterwards, it would be a great place for a wedding

This place was beautiful but there were no staff when we visited. The plants were very pretty and colourful, but there were no charts or plaques to identify what we were looking at. Also there was no map or chart to show us how to navigate the gardens, so we may have missed a lot without realising

Kia Orana Del, It is such a pity that you visited us on a Saturday, which is the only day off, otherwise our very passionate staff would have been delighted to advise and direct you through our gardens. As well our Cafe is open evry day other than Saturday. We do hope you get the chance to return on another... More

The Maire Nui gardens are not government or botanic society operated or funded. They are the work of the land owners and reflect their love of their land and the flora. Being a private property, as others have mentioned, the is a $5 entry donation at the entrance. When you walk around the many paths, you'll discover more gardens at... More

Lovely little cafe in the middle of an amazing garden. $5 donation is required to enter the gardens.

While the gardens weren't quite what I was expecting for a botanical garden, it was a lovely place. It is a non-profit and you pay on the honor system when you walk across the little bridge. There are some pathways and other places you just wander among the plants. Nothing is marked so you're not sure of the plant names.... More
