About
Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

Walked from the main road up to the waterfall. Good easy walk up hill along a gravel road. Took approx 10mins. Waterfall was flowing water very cool and refreshing. Lots of mozzies so take spray.

We visited as part of the Buggy Tour. The water was flowing after recent rain and it looks beautiful. Unfortunately, we forgot the bug spray and got eaten alive. I think it's worth a visit but probably wouldn't be as great if it was not...More

Went here as part of a tour. Pretty enough and running well on the day. Was warned by our transfer driver that this isn't always the case. Turn off is near the abandoned Sheraton. There was a very unofficial sign stating a $5 fee for...More

The charge to get access to get eaten alive by mosquitos is a bit steep. I completely support land owners charging but maybe recommend bug repellent at the gate and have some available?

A nice waterfall if it has been raining a few days before . If it had been dry i would feel ripped off paying the $5. There's also a lot of rubbish around it. The people who are charging $5 should be also looking after...More

Quite a small waterfall that's been slightly trashed by concrete channelling and water pipes. Something to do but be very cautious on the insect repellent application - clouds of them

Unfortunately, a local woman has decided to park her van on the side and charge per person or vehicle to see this lovely site. Kind of wrecks the experience.

Reapply your insect repellent before you go or you'll get eaten alive. Waterfall underwhelming but good to hear about its origins and the role it plays today as part of the tour we were on. Not a destination I'd recommend, however good when part of...More

Hilarious to get charged Five dollars to go up a shaky hill to find lots of rubbish at the entrance to a waterfall. Such a shame that it wasn't cleaned and cared for. Not a pleasant experience especially to find heaps of mozzies had made...More
