Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

We enjoyed seeing the waterfall but would definitely recommend bug spray if you plan on going! We had to pay a small fee to drive up, but it was enjoyable and a good photo op. We didn't swim, and while the water was moving it...More

This attraction may be better later in the wet season. Having to pay to visit a creek trickling over rocks was a bit over the top. Mosquitoes are also a problem here and long trousers with elastic bottoms are recommended. Don't put it on your...More

Depending on the season this wonderful attraction can be a raging waterfall or a trickling stream. Even though I have visited the Island several times I still find myself going to the Falls at least once during every visit. This wonderful relatively small (by Canadian...More

Nice swimming hole, short hike from the road for $2 per person. Refreshing cold water for the hot summer day. It is at either the end or beginning of the cross island hike, so a great way to get clean!

The setting is great and I imagine if water had been flowing it would have been worth the $10 they charge. Kinda disappointing since they had to know it was dry but didn't tell us. Its also the terminus of the cross island trek.

It had been raining so thought that the waterfall would have some water! But no a trickle going down into a muddy puddle. And they charged each vehicle $5 to drive up there. A total rip off very disappointing!!
