Very nice little center. We enjoyed the Rodak trail and the views. The center had some great information and we enjoyed the taxidermy animals. Tons of mosquitoes, but we were prepared with a good repellent so it didn't detract. Nice quiet afternoon.

Don't forget your $5 parking fee! Great exploration and taxidermy displays inside to learn more about the local wildlife. Beautiful views from the deck. Fabulous hiking trails, and there are yurts to rent for overnight stays.

There is a great little visitor center with lots to see and touch, pelts, antlers and animal track quiz. The trails are well developed and scenic. The topography is varied and beautiful. Close encounters with moose and black bear. Outstanding, and close to anchorage.

We went to Eagle River for an evening stroll and just took a short loop from the nature center. We wished we had more time to go back for a longer walk. The trail was well marked and the scenery was beautiful.

Offering some equally amazing mountain views as Denali, yet on an altogether smaller scale, Eagle River Nature Preserve has some gorgeous trails meandering through river/lakeside wetland areas with regenerating forest all around. Relatively flat trails are easily navigable and full of wildlife if out early...More

Visited May 3rd quiet, no animals or birds to be seen but looked like a nice place to hike the trails.
