A great day trip to the Alyeska Resort arranged by Viator tours. It's summertime so the weather was perfect. Only sprinkles of snow visible during my visit. You take a cable car to top and is greeted with a restaurant and gift shop. I enjoyed...More

The area is great and is mostly for skiers in the winter months, but we were here in the summer (of '15) as part of a Cruise tour via Royal Caribbean Cruise line. The hotel at this stop (Aleska Resort Hotel) is rated the best...More

Took the tram up to Alyeska ski area. Got a 2 for 1 coupon. Beautiful views of the 7 glaciers and turnagain arm. Ate at the bistro up there and had a nice bbq pork sandwich that was quite good and reasonable.

A wonderful area to be in for the summer months. There are trails everywhere, easy to get around, close to Anchorage, popular and very good restaurants in the area and beauty surrounds you in this small valley surrounded by mountains and Turnagain Arm! I, especially,...More

I suppose not much can be said about Gondola rides. They are all pretty good in their own way. Not much happening at the top, gift shop, restaurant, that sort of stuff, really meant for the ski season. But the people were nice and friendly,...More

I was utterly captivated by my recent trip here. While it was the tail-end of winter it was so beautiful. I kept going to the windows of the resort i was staying at to see if there were any further sights to behold. I don't...More

I've watched and participated in numerous slush cup type of resort events over the last 20 years, but Alyeska Resort's was the best one yet! They managed a massive crowd of spectators with polite security staff, the two ponds had a super impressive jump obstacle...More

Hi there, I plan to come on February 6-7, but I will be based in Anchorage. I am not from Alaska and wanted to know if there is any public service from the city to the resort? Or are taxis and rented cars my only options?

I asked this question when there in August and was told no. Call Alyeska Resort to see if they have a shuttle you can take. If you can rent a car (I think you have to be 26), it is worth it. A world like no other unfolds... More
