We booked a 6 pack for a 3 species fishing charter, Halibut, Lingcod/Rock fish, and Salmon. We had an awesome day with each of us catching several fish of each species, and as a bonus we were able to limit out on Salmon while we were anchored and catching Halibut. While it's a long day on the water, it is well worth the time to catch nice fish. Highly recommend North Country Charters for all of your fishing needs when you are in Homer, AK. This was my 3rd charter with them and they were all great!

My mom and I went halibut fishing for the first time together on a 3/4 day trip on The Irish and had the time of our lives! We caught our limits and were all smiles and laughing the whole day! I would highly reccomend booking with North Country to have a memorable and successful Alaskan fishing experience. The captain and crew were friendly and well versed in ensuring their passengers had the best time. 10/10. Amazing, would absolutely book with them again. Thanks North Country!!

The captain and crew were very professional and committed to everyone having a good time. The guests ranged from a young man of 12 to those of us who were more elderly. We had time to talk and get to know one another on the way out. I personally had not deep-sea fished in over 50 years. We all caught our limit and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

AAA+++ day on the 16 passenger Irish! Outstanding trip and value on 1/2 day halibut charter. Fish were bigger than we expected for 1/2 day trip and the Capn’ & Crew were fabulous! Captain Wes ran an organized, positive and informative boat… Sala and Wes were personable and top notch! And watching Sala fillet those 32 fish like a pro on the way home was a sight! Best charter experience and atmosphere we’ve ever had, and we’ve been on plenty.

Ben Martin is the finest Six Pac Captain in Homer. I caught, kept and or released almost 100 1lbs of fish in 2 hours and stopped to give others a better chance. We had hits from the first 10 minutes, and as the tide shifted, we were in and out of the 'butts and silvers all day long. I released a 40lb fish!
His consistency amazes; as does his ability to find and harvest fish this late in the year. Courteous, helpful when you need it, I will go with Ben until I croak or he cannot pack me on board !

Wes was our Captain, he was very personable, friendly and eager to help and support as needed. The team, Wes, Bailey, Seven and Ben all worked cohesively and smoothly. Booked this boat for a trip for salmon fishing, should have known there was a reason it was the only one with open seats in out time frame. Trip started out ok but ended up a bit of a bust for us. A boat with 6 clients and only ran 3 rods at a time. When other clients had caught their limit, fish were put on people who had not caught their limit yet and those people with limits were allowed to continue fishing. Far beyond the experience we had anticipated. No bait on the boat, artificial lures only. The target species of Salmon were few and far between, even though we were in peak Silver season. It was a lot of hard earned money for a boat ride. If you want to share Rods between 6 people, and have other people catch fish and fill your tag then by all means book this charter. You would be better off going down to the local market and buying fish for the money spent on this trip. You would have a lot more fish also.

An amazing experience halibut fishing on The IRISH! Our party of 6 had some experienced fishermen as well as kids and first timers. We didn’t know what to expect but with the help of the awesome, experienced Captain Wes, Sara and Zev, we all caught our limit and so did everyone else on board. We were so impressed with how caring, patient and hardworking the whole crew was. It was just amazing watching them do what they love. We would book another charter with the Irish in a heartbeat. Thank you Captain Wes, Sara and Zev!

Family visited and thought a day salmon fishing would be good. BIG mistake. A waste of hard earned money and a day in Homer, Alaska.
