Didn't make any plans in Juneau, so we decided to walk around the town and ride the tram to the Mount Roberts Trail. Absolutely incredible view with the clouds waifing by. Great gift shop and Eagle conservatory.

Nice tour of town, tram ride had nice views and timberline trek was a bit too risky for this mature lady with bad back. Matthew was a great and knowledgeable guide but could kept his political views in check.

Took the tram to the top then hiked a couple miles. We came in on a cruise. Lots of wild life. Saw a black bear and some Sitka deer. Cost of tram was $34 for adults. Bring good shoes and binoculars.

You can take the tram up to the top and hike a couple of different trails. One trail will take you down the mountain. Another trail is a loop trail and provides various vistas of the docks and the city.

By all means take the tram up; then go for a nice walk on the Mount Roberts trail. The walk is relatively easy and only takes 30 minutes or so for the shorter loop. And the views are great. Be sure to stop and see...More

Very much worth it to take the tram up the mountain and walk the trails. We enjoyed it so much that we went up there twice! Tip: Go first thing in the morning. The lines are shorter. The afternoon return trip can be a long...More

This excursion was well worth it. Learn about the history of the area. Also had an exhibit of a Bald Eagle.

I just read some of the reviews and realized we could have walked up instead of taking the tram. Though with the rain coming, I'm glad we didn't. The trail at the top was a nice walk that affords really nice views of Juneau and...More

This was a great hike. Total of about 3+miles from hotel. Well maintained. Once at the gondola station the gift shop and food where great. With our receipt the ride down was free.

We took the tram up to the top ($34 per adult - can be ridden multiple times on the same day). The view from the tram was great but gets even better once you get on the trail. We did the simple 15-20 minute trail...More

We took the tram and hiked from there. Also, there are 2 options from there. One is steps, the other just hiking. We did the one where you just hiked and it was not bad. The people that did the one with the steps were... More
