The Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway is owned by Juneau's Urban Native Corporation. Riding the tramway affords tourists spectacular views, great photo opportunities, hiking, as well as dining and shopping options. It also supports cultural preservation, scholarships, etc. for people of Tlingit Indian descent.

This is a great adventure to the top of Mount Roberts via the Tram. You get on the tram, essentially at the ship docks, and rise almost vertical through the clouds up into the coniferous canopy above. At the top there is a restaurant, theatre,...More

Beautiful views of Juneau make the trip on the tramway well worth the money, and the hiking trails are definitely a "must do" if you are fit enough to take them on. We enjoyed the nature reserve hut, where we could learn about all the...More

The tram was a great way to see the city from atop Mt Roberts. We got there earlier so we didn’t have to fight the crowds. I wish we would would have had time to walk some of the trials but we had an excursion...More

Was surprised at the cost of this 5 minute ride. At the top we saw an interesting film, went for a rather boring walk and saw a bald eagle being kept in awful conditions. Did not even seem to have a coffee shop, just a...More

No reservation. Just walk up and buy a ticket. You can see the tram entrance as your ship pulls in. I walked off my boat and was at the ticket office in 5 minutes. Based upon your time window, you could hike back into town... More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
