Beautiful Tour

My family and I enjoyed our tour. We saw a few beautiful whales, the closest that we had to our boat came about 10 feet away. The crew was friendly and professional.

We saw 3 whales, harbour seals and an island full of stellar sea lions. We were late back, which was only a problem because we had booked another tour in the afternoon. Booking two tours in a day is something to be wary of, because delays can happen.

This review is for Whalewatchalaska. I was looking for a whale watching tour in Juneau at the end of October. There were few companies still scheduled to run at those dates but this company had slots available on the 31st October so I reserved it months ahead. We received a reminder email 48 hours before the tour that it would... More

We traveled by cruise ship to beautiful Alaska, last week in August. We took a relaxing whale watching excursion. There was not much activity on that day however it was very educational. The tour guide provided us with an abundance of information on the whales of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean. It was fairly expensive if purchased through the cruise... More

We went out in morning when our cruise ship docked. It was raining a bit, but we got to see 4 whales within viewing range. Boat was 2 levels. To get a good view top deck much better.

We knew coming to Alaska that seeing whales in their natural habitat was a must do! The boat has two levels, I recommend going up top for taking pictures (otherwise you're snapping through glass) if you can handle the wind. We lucked out and saw a pod of 4 orcas! We also saw numerous humpback whales from a distance, sea... More

I was on a morning sail (this was in late August). Unfortunately we only saw two whales (from quite a distance) and some sea lions. The Herbert Glacier was very pretty and our "guide" was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about whales and other sea life, that it partially made up for my disappointment in not getting a good "whale tail"... Allen Marine, our captain went out until we saw 10 whales and there were 7 all around the boat at one time. Do not eat first they also provide a really good dinner. We thought appetizers but there was a lot of food. We loved it.

our tour came at the end of the season, booked on a cruise with the NCL Norwegian Sun...everyone was extremely knowledgeable and informative and, even though the pickings were light, the captain and crew made sure that we all had a great experience and captured glimpses of these giants...we would heartily recommend this excursion to anyone that appreciated nature and... Our trip started out ok,, but when we got out away from land a little way, our captain spotted a pod of Orcas, about 9 in all and with a baby. We followed them for a while then we spotted whales, about 3 in all. All humpbacks, they were showing a lot of back, but we got to see one... More
