Spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, peace and quiet. it was almost like being at Lake Tahoe but without all the noise and clutter of civilization.

We booked this Misty Fjords tour/flight with Michelle of Island Wings Air Service in Ketchikan. What a terrific tour, took at least a couple hundreds of pictures. Stunning views! Would say it is a once in a lifetime experience but I already know I want to do it again. Seeing the Misty Fjords was one the many highlights of our... More

Did a seaplane with Island Wings in Ketchikan and we flew over Misty Fjords. Unbelievable beauty! We landed in a body of water about half way out, almost looked like a lake and walked around a bit. Simply gorgeous. Would recommend to everyone visiting this area.

To view this amazing National Park we flew with Michelle @ Island Wings. It was a fabulous adventure to say the least. We landed in Nooya Lake where we took some time to ourselves. So peaceful. Beautiful area for sure!

One of the most beautiful flight trips you can take! The pilot was great and very informed about the area. Seen mountain goats, whales & beautiful valleys

One of the top 5 most spectacular things I've done in my life! A must do for anyone who is able to. I am no stranger to mountains, but these are truly the master pieces of Mother Nature. If you've never felt insignificant, this place will let you know how small you really are in the world!

We took a boat excursion to see the Misty Fjords National Monument. It took off from Ketchikan and took about 4 hours. We saw whales, seals and eagles. The best part of the trip was the information that was given by the guide. She was so knowledgeable and we learned so much! The scenery was just incredible! The boat ride... More

Before going on an Alaskan Cruise we had read up on many of the attractions but hardly gave Misty Fjords National Monument a second thought. We had booked a float plane trip from Ketchican (see review of Island Wings) more for the experience that what we would see. What an eye opener it was! Misty Fjords is a truly astonishing... More

Requires a rather pricey boat or plane trip, but for most folks the trip will be worth it. The boat ride is long, but has the advantage of at least spending 10-20 minutes in the fjord just sitting so you can take pictures and they'll slow and look at interesting spots along the way. The plane flight is great, but... More

Our pilot with Taquan Air took us high up over the fjords so that we could see the snow capped mountain ranges off in the distance. I appreciated that to get a perspective of the magnitude of the mountains and the majesty of Alaska. Then he swooped through the fjords and finally landed on a lake. Flying is the way... More
