What a treasure. Alaska has so many hidden treasures, and the Misty Fjords monument is one of them. I wish i had a picture handy to submit, just be sure to have your camera ready. Well worth it.

My mom and I went on a cruise and booked this excursion. It was a four hour trip, and the scenery did not change that much! While it was beautiful, I would not recommend getting off a cruise ship onto another long trip on a...More

This is a great way to relax and see the beautiful landscape of the area. Waterfalls, fjords, and occasionally wildlife. I have been on this tour MANY times over the years. If you are coming off a cruise ship and getting stir crazy, 4 hours...More

Don't trust your impression of this place from a PBS special. You must experience it. We tooka float plane from Taquon Air and it was the best thing we did on our Alaskan cruise. It is about a 2 hour excursion from the time you...More

We cruised through Misty Fjords NM and found them overwhelming. The cliffs were so massive it was hard to get a grasp of their size until a float plane flew by. Unfortunately planes flew by every minute or two, spoiling the serenity of the fjord.

We did a tour with Island Wings to fly into and see the fjords. Excellent Tour, very informative, great pilot in Michelle, highly recommend.

It's a fjord, but the entire rain forest through which you get there is carved by glaciers, it may be a little steeper slopes there, but it's not that special. The whale we saw on the way there was not in the fjord itself.

We took a catamaran out there but you can do it quicker by float plane. The scenery is spectacular. You see cliffs, trees, evidence of glacial activity. We saw it on a crystal clear day.

There is a way. Certain times during the season, outfitters from Ketchikan, Alaska offer "tourist for a day" pricing which is significantly lower than normal fares... keep your eyes on Ketchikan papers!!

No, we were on a cruise, but saw float planes land on the water. A beautiful spot.
