The oldest bar in Ketchikan! Est. in 1937. We are a waterfront bar with a covered deck for an outdoor experience. We have 19 draft beers on tap and the best bloody Mary's in Alaska! We are locally owned and operated. Come down and meet Paula who has owned the bar for the last 22 years. She's a hoot!

The Happy Bears sign drew my husband to this place. Once we entered after taking pictures with the bear statue of course - we met Paula the owner. She was an absolute blast! Funny, lots of stories to tell and just overall a lot of...More

What a warm old fashioned welcome at this place for 'Happy Bears'. On a days visit from a cruise ship we were tired and hungry and nipped in for 'one for the road'. Not used to my request for a red martini and lemonade the...More

This place was great - loved the barman - he was so friendly and we enjoyed our drinks talking to him. So close to the ship as well with a great atmosphere - even bought a shirt to remind us of the experience

When you get off the ship, you are usually shunted into touristy places. This place is filled with locals, but they make you feel welcome. The clam chowder was excellent, and they have a good range of Alaskan beer.

This place is awesome!! We stumbled upon this bar as we walked back to our ship. The owners are hilarious and make it worth the stop. The Bloody Mary was fantastic. It's right at the port and the views are great.

It's not pretty, but it's Alaska! This is the perfect spot to wait till the last minute to re-board your ship. Well priced cocktails, crusty servers, and "colorful" locals. Don't expect too much, and you'll be happy. Sitting outside at the railing gives a good...More

Great bar, Dennis is a great bartender. He really knows how to spoil a person with his great mixed drinks. Best screwdriver ever made!,,,,, Would recommend that everyone who visits stops in and has a drink. Very friendly local atmosphere!

Hi - I am not sure - it was my first time there. I think they have a Facebook page and they might be able to answer that for you there. Good luck and keep traveling!

The Arctic is located directly off of Berth 3 on the cruise ship docks. The back deck faces Berth 3 - right next to Sockeye Sams and across the street from Burger Queen.
