If you love a flat sand wide beach to walk on then Orewa Beach offers this. It's beside the shops for coffee afterwards

Has the feel of a country town, but only 40 minutes from Auckland. Two big supermarkets and numerous cafes, restaurants, bakeries and stores.

Great place for long walks. Village has lots of food and drink places right opposite the beach. Heaps of options for children to play.
