This is a must do. My horse was great once we got over some slight personality clash issues. Sharon is the most hilarious person in Alaska! I loved her pink hat. Liz lead us on a great trail and the views!! Mt McKinley showed itself...More

Christine and Lee led our group for an afternoon trail ride. Even in the rain (they had rain gear for us), we had a great time. The trail is lovely, and all of the horses were well-behaved.

Booked this excursion at last minute. Being an experienced rider was wondering if it would be boring. NO IT WASN'T. Had a beautiful horse called chip. Never ridden western style before, took a bit of getting used to, no mouth contact with horse. Had super...More

I echo the positive comments made by Amy and Gabrielle, and found the ride to be easy, beautiful, and peaceful during a rather hectic 2-week vacation to Alaska. The guides gave us a very good introduction to riding and away we went, up a gorgeous...More

Rode with this family owned outfit into the woods. Great guides, very friendly and knowledgable. They really enjoyed their "jobs". We did not see Mt. McKinley as it was clouded over however we did have a wonderful time atop our trusty steads. They take your...More

We have four adults hoping to go on this tour. My mother grew up with horses, but it's been ages since she's been on horseback. she's about 65 and not super athletic but she's still very mobile (she gardens, rides motorcycle, etc). Will this be too physically difficult for her? Are there stairs or something to help her actually mount the horse?

There is a mounting block. I haven't been on a horse for over 15 years and never learnt to ride properly but I had no real issues. It was a bit scary when the horses were slipping about but if you can deal with that you... More
