This experience is worth about 2 hours of your time at most. It is very interesting to learn about the history of the Iditarod, but that takes about an hour at most. The sled dog puppies are precious and interacting with them is fun. There...More

A great place to stop between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Lots of information and nice facility. I would recommend this as a buck list place to stop on any Alaska trip.

Good introduction to the Iditarod. Everyone in our group enjoyed holding the 4-week old puppies and the informative movie in the free museum. Some us had a fun $10 ride behind the dogs!

We made an hour-long stop here. We learned about the Iditarod race, the huskies (not at all how we'd envisioned them), petted some dogs and handled some puppies, and watched a film. The gift shop is nice and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Everything you ever wanted to know about the Iditarod. Make sure you watch the video: "Why do they run?" in the visitor center. It is extremely well done. They also had fresh puppies while we were there - cute!!
