This museum is in partnership with the Smithsonian and it shows. This is an excellent museum. The docents are very friendly/chatty but easy enough to excuse yourself from if you want to explore on your own. There is an interesting balance of the history of the town/the science of mining/and the natural history of the area. Worth a visit.

This museum provided a lot of knowledge about the development of Bisbee and the lives of the miners. I enjoyed the details about the miners’ lives. It is well worth the admission price.

The exhibits are arranged so the visitor gets immersed in the timeline and history. The photos and artifacts allowed me to visualize life during this period. Excellent historical and mining museum experience.

This is a great way to get a quick introduction into the town of Bisbee and how the mining industry shaped it. Self guided tour. I feel kids would not find it as interesting as adults would. There are two floors. I'm not sure if there is an elevator. Fees are reasonable. Locals pay 1/2 price in December. We paid... More

Any easy way to capture and better understand the history of Bisbee. We toured the museum after the mine tour and I think this made the museum more meaningful. We love to visit towns like Bisbee that have so much history!

The Museum was excellent, had great displays and described the local history of the area very well. We would certainly visit this again.

Very good guiding tour with detailed explanation on how the town developed itself through the years from the late 1800 ' s through the closure of the mines in 1974. Nice exhibition showing minerals discovered in the copper, silver and to a lesser extend gold mines.

This museum was the reason for our drive to Bisbee as it was recommended by several friends. There are a variety of visuals, photos, anecdotes and such that give one a feel for the copper mine and life in Bisbee a hundred years ago. You can tell it is affiliated with the Smithsonian as everything is professionally done.
