I have a terrible case of claustrophobia and don't mind admitting that when we started to go through the tiny tunnel on the little ride-upon train, I went in to a quiet panic, which got worse when the driver stopped deep in the tunnel to...More

If your stomach tolerates these kinds of things and you have any interest in how they mined this area, then this is a can't miss tour. You ride a small tight train into the middle of the mountain and hear presentations on how copper, silver,...More

If you've never done a mine tour, this is good. It is no different than any other mine tour I've ever been on. The guide was friendly and witty, and very informative. The gift shop was good. Fair prices and a good selection of rocks...More

Recommend the mine train tour, especially on a summer's day! Mine temps are in the high 50's. A couple of stops are made along the way and lots of mine history is shared by the train's engineer. One man on our trip had worked for...More

This is a "Must Do" in the Bisbee area. The tour is given by former miners who actually worked in the mine and so are truly knowledgeable. Some of the original equipment is there to see. You will get a real feel for what mining...More

Do I need to wear old clothing or specific shoes? Trying to plan ahead in case it's extremely dirty. Thanks!

No need for old clothes or shoes, you don't get dirty. Bring a sweatshirt as it's cold in the mines. Make sure you have a reservation, too. Enjoy!

I wouldn't recommend this tour for anyone who is unsure on their feet. The floors are uneven, with loose stoned and rock. There are some steps to climb and descend. It would not be safe or comfortable

we were there midweek, in april, and could make reservations for about 90 minutes later. all tours were full, so I'd say its best to make a booking, particularly if its high season.
