We stayed here as a family for 5 nights and really enjoyed the site. We did some family hiking, biking and horse back riding. The campground was clean, bathrooms/showers are clean and the camp hosts were awesome. The campground is located close to stores and other activities.

Three of us hiked the Go John trail and enjoyed every minute. It was the best combination of scenic, easy and moderate hiking. We will go back there the next time we're in the area. December is great in Arizona! The trail was easy to find and easy to follow. The $6 cost to enter the park is well worth... More

We were looking for a nice desert hike that would last 1.5-2 hours and not be too taxing. I am sure there are others to be had here. But the ratio of view to effort here is pretty high. We did the Overton Trail with several stops along the way in 2 hours. Lovely views of the rolling hills and... More

We hiked the Overton / Go John trail. It was a good hike with beautiful views. The problem was that many horse back riders were on the trail. The trail was covered with horse manure. The amusing irony is that bags are provided for dog owners to pick up their dogs' waste...

We only had time to do the Overton trail but it was absolutely stunning. There was some uphill hiking but it was not terribly steep or strenuous. We really enjoyed the saguaro abundant and other local flora along with the views from along the trail. Before we started our hike, we stopped at the Visitor Center- really nice and helpful... More

My brother, sister- in- law and husband hiked this trail in December 2016. It is one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever taken. The desert views are awesome. The trail is rated moderate and we were able to navigate it without any problems or over-excretion. We we only in the area for a few days and the weather... More

Last time here hiked Go John and I decided this was my favorite trail. This time did Overton / Go John to make it a little easier on guests. They loved it as did I.

Quiet place for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hiking trails and clean bathrooms. Enjoying the variety of birds all around.

We've always enjoyed the visitor center and trails around there. This time we horseback the "quartz trail" with Cave Creek Outfitters and it was gorgeous. So many different types of cacti and rocks!

Of all the local parks, we like Cave Creek hikes the best. It offers a variety of trails, with different levels of exertion and difficulty. We seem to always hike the Overton Go John trail which offers a moderate agree of difficulty and incredible views. Staff is great
