We've always enjoyed the visitor center and trails around there. This time we horseback the "quartz trail" with Cave Creek Outfitters and it was gorgeous. So many different types of cacti and rocks!

Of all the local parks, we like Cave Creek hikes the best. It offers a variety of trails, with different levels of exertion and difficulty. We seem to always hike the Overton Go John trail which offers a moderate agree of difficulty and incredible views. Staff is great

I have been hiking in the Cave Creek Park for over 10 years. I started by taking my kids on the informational hikes with the ranger, which are great. The trails are great and views are amazing and it's not to crowded like other trails in the valley.

Very nice programs. We went there for the Haunted Hike to Clay Mine and the Haloween party. Very friendly people and lots of interesting things. They even have a live rattlesnake at the nature center.

We walked the trails. The ranger was very helpful in suggesting which trails. The trails are also clearly marked on the maps. It was quiet peaceful and well maintined.

My husband and I were waiting for friends to get off of work just after we arrived in the Phoenix area. With several hours to kill we used our 'All Trails' app and found this gem in Carefree, AZ. This park has a $6 admission fee, but it's worth it. There are several trails to choose from. You can hike,... More

My mom, sister and I hiked the Go John Trail (5.8 mile loop) on a recent morning and it's just lovely. Trails are easy enough for most abilities, yet can be challenging if you want to run it or hike fast. Took us about 2 hours. Bring plenty of water as it's a loop and nothing is on the other... More

Very clean and great trail hiking. There is a $6 fee to get in but totally worth it. The views on the Overton trail are very pretty. There are several trails to choose from.
