Charming downtown area. Visit during the holidays for the Glendale Glitters events. Some quaint restaurants, coffee shops and antiquities shopping. Good place to kill an hour or two.

This is a great area and they often have something going on that is always fun. There are some very good restaurants in the area and it is just old school atmosphere. We go for the Chocolate Festival and Christmas both, never miss it.

Lot of antique shops. Cerretta's Candy Store which will give a free sample of chocolate. A lot of mom and pop shops. Plenty to look at. Recommend Christmas time it is so decorated.

Walking in the stores of this Historic area will take you your past. See those treasures that Grandma or your great Aunt used to make you treats. See signs, cans, or furniture that flash you back to the past. Feel and experience now, what you did back then.

I was disappointed with this event. Actually, the past two events in downtown Glendale. The planners need to plan, it is looking like a trashy generic overnight carnival. The 58th Dr which usually has historic homes opened selling their items in a creative way, only to have the street lined with carnival rides ( house of mirrors, etc). Arriving at... More

Take a walk through Historic Downtown Murphy Park and Catlin Court for Glendale Glitters. The Lights come on Friday, November 25th and run through January 7th, 2017. We always try go, but usually on a weeknight, to avoid the crowds, as too many people make seeing and enjoying the lights hard. Free parking is available in off site lots close... More

We drove through 3 times during the holiday. Most shops were "knick knack" type shops. Probably some antiques. Did not have time to walk through, but looked like on a nice day it would be interested for awhile.

Glendale Glitters is a nice event - great for children. After being away from Phoenix for 22 years (living in Europe) and returning to the Phoenix metro area, the historical district was a bit disappointing. Several shops, mostly closed, full of kitchy gifts. It is probably me - I don't do "kitch." I give Glendale credit for trying, maybe we... More

Stopped by Friday night to visit the Glendale Glitters exhibit of 1.5 million lights. The park was well decorated as were the city streets in the area. Didn't see any vendors or activities in the area when we were there, but the lights were quite lovely to walk around and see. There are also some really good restaurants in the... More

It's almost like going to Prescott without the drive. Some of you will know what I mean. There are antique shops, a wide variety of very good restaurants, and lots of other things to do. I highly recommend a visit. You'll find something new & different every time. The Christmas activities are especially nice
