We thought this was a quick stop but we were there an hour. We have a nine year old girl. She enjoyed looking at the old clothes, toys, school room, jail (built then shipped from St. Louis) the old post office and old office equipment. Leave a donation and get a free piece of petrified wood! Postcards 5 for a... More

I went in to grab a map, but ended up staying for an hour. Lots of great sites and exhibits. If you're in the area or traveling on Route 66, stop by. Little hidden gems like this is what 66 is all about.

I was very impressed with the size and variety of historical items that were in this museum. It's three stories and also includes an old jail and information about the pony express. The courthouse room is still intact. If you're in Holbrook don't miss it!

Cool history of the area including Route 66 stuff. Fossils and lots of interesting artifacts for children to see. It's in an old courthouse

We were pleasantly surprised by a stop at the tourism office and what a lovely courthouse full of interesting old things. We were amused by the picture with the bullet holes inebriated saloon patrons shot into a painting trying to hunt! All the antiques were interesting in that we recalled many from our grandparent's homes.

We stopped in here to "kill time" because we had arrived in Holbrook too early to check in to our hotel. What a gem! The Museum is free and is 3 stories of history of the Wild West. Be sure to check out the jail in the lower level. There are a few souvenirs available, but mostly it is a... More

Very well done museum! Great exhibits, my favorite is the old jail downstairs! This is a free museum and you could spend most of a day in here looking at all the neat stuff.
