Audrey Headframe Park was one of the many stops on our Classic Historic Tour of Jerome. Seeing the headframe of an old mine up close and personal was really an awesome experience. The perspective given by television or movies does not provide the true scale...More

As if time stood still, fun little park with lots of local history and mining. Great education lesson for kids of all ages. We will be back soon.

There's nothing quite like standing over a hole that is about %150 the height of the Empire State Building as you find out that very statistic. It's hard to imagine taking a rickety elevator down that far into the ground - and spending your days...More

Stopped for a quick look at the Audrey Headframe/Little Daisy Mine. It's just a little place to make a quick stop as you're driving through, maybe on your way to Jerome. It was actually very interesting reading up on the mine. There's information and pictures...More

A small site outside of the Jerome State Park, the Audrey Headframe Park gives one an idea of the mining systems used and how the miners traveled down to the depths of the mines. The mines has vertical shafts going down 1900 feet with horizontal...More

My brother & I stopped to check out this attraction as we drove through Jerome. It has a few cool things to look at, and won't take much of your time; better yet, it won't take anything out of your wallet because it doesn't cost...More

Definitely worth a stop, interesting piece of history and fantastic views - all for free. There's a mine shaft you can look down and also the remnants of the mine, which is really interesting, it's now so peaceful but you can "feel" the history there...More

Very interesting info on the mining that went on here. Super fun for kids. Plexi-glass over a 1900 foot mine...ya a little creepy. Open 8-5 and outside on the way into Jerome State Park. Defiantly worth a quick little stop.

While in Jerome this is a nice park to visit and it doesn't take long to see it all. Great for all ages, some good photo ops and can find some good information about mining in the area.

This was our first stop in Jerome on the way to the Mine Museum (another must see). The kids thought this was super cool. You can look straight down the shaft while standing on a plate of glass. There is windex and a rag there...More
