This place had been neglected...tiling, windows, pictures need to be fixed It was nice to be on the highest building in Africa...and to view greater Joburg area from such a view There is great opportunity to make this entire floor better

Stunning panoramic views of Joburg but the view deck is sadly neglected with grubby floors and dirty windows - which is disappointing as looking through the windows in why you are up there. The info boards need to be fixed and updated and it is sad to see the boarded up shops at that top - what a waste of... More

Once the crown of downtown Joburg, this center has fallen on hard times. The building is in disrepair. The hotel is long closed. There are tall fences around it. The mall in the basement is open but caters entirely to locals. Take a quick look on the outside to see what was but what is no more.

The Carlton Centre seems to have seen better days. I learned that they are trying to revitalize the area but it is an OK place to visit.

The 50 floors to the top was quick and the view from the top beautiful to see. You could play "I spy" with younger kids as your walk around the top gives you a view of Johannesburg from all sides.

This was one of the sights pointed out on our City Sightseeing tour. It is the tallest building in Africa, 50 storeys tall. We didn’t have the chance to go inside and see the panoramic views from the top, however.

What an experience! What an awesome view of Johannesburg! The top of the other Joburg skyscrapers can be seen from the 50th floor of the Carton Centre. If you look at the photos that I've taken, it looks as if I've taken it from an aeroplane.
