If you have time for only a few sites, the Apartheid Museum is a must see. It is very moving, accurate, and disturbing at the same time. It is important that history not repeat itself. Ensure you have sufficient time to view the exhibits and...More

We visited the museum via the Red hop on-hop off bus and arrived toward the end of the afternoon. Museum staff moved people along, closing portions of the Museum so that the Museum could close promptly.

Unfortunately this is not interesting or particularly close to the reality that happened. It's a pity that tourists are lead down this path and leaving with not an idea of what really happened.

You do not need a guide for the museum. There is excellent signage on the displays. You can use the on and off bus to get there. Just know that you can spend about two hours there. The bus is a great way to get around and... More
