The exhibition of Nobel Laureates is about peacemakers – men and women from all corners of the globe – who have dedicated their lives to make the world a better place. The exhibition at the Peacemakers Museum celebrates the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates but in particular our own Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, FW de Klerk and Nelson Mandela.

After I have been looking for the museum for over an hour asking the guard and driving around I finally called and was told it has been shut down. Unfortunately in this country you don't know if somebody is telling you this because he doesn't...More

I was looking for things to do in and around JHB and found the Peacemakers Museum on the list. However never having heard of it, I thought it would be a great visit. It is a little hidden and few seem to know about it....More

I ask no less than four official-looking persons for directions. Nobody has heard of the museum. I gallop and traipse to and fro in a flap and just when I begin to think the museum is a figment of my imagination, I finally locate it....More

I like history and this gives a great history of the Nobel Prize. I learned a lot and it is not too much reading. Small, free museum but well worth your time if you are in the area

It's very small, so I wouldn't make a special trip out of your way to see it, but if you're going to Nelson Mandela Square, it's just inside the mall, and worth a 30 minute visit. It's good to reflect on all the people who...More

Located in Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton, Johannesburg, this little museum is not only good but free of charge. It is dedicated to all of the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize but naturally focuses on Nelson Mandela and the other South African winners. We visited...More

A neat little exhibition, sponsored by a company that sells Kruger Rands and other gold coins. It gives a fascinating insight to the Nobel Peace Prize and all the winners. While it focuses on the South African prize winners, it also gives you a fantastic...More

Posters in the Sandton Shopping Centre advertised the WE LOVE MANDELA exhibition at the Peacemakers Museum which is tucked away on the Lower Level. I am an experienced museum goer. This museum is a perfect little gem! The gentleman at the desk, a 4th generation...More
