We visited Kirstenbosch in September and we had amazing family time. The gardens are well managed and there's variety of plants to see. This place is also ideal for picnics and quiet time for reading.

Take your time to visit the gardens. What a great place! We were lucky and lots of plants had flowers. Even if you do not like gardens or anything alike, the scenery at this place is amazing!

A lovely botanical garden at the foothills of Table Mountain. Very relaxing and educational. Did not want to leave... Make sure you take water with you as there are no cafes or shops inside the gardens, only at the entrances.

Yes, we allow picnics in the Garden. You are welcome to bring your own food, or get a picnic hamper from the Kirstenbosch Tea Room or Moyo Restaurant. Picnic blankets are welcome, but we don't allow garden furniture.
