Welcome to an Eden hidden in the West Rand of Gauteng where beautiful nature welcomes visitors and the rushing water of the Witpoortjie Waterfall, gushing from a height of 70 metres, soothes and revitalises careworn city-dwellers. The garden is home to a pair of breeding Verreaux's Eagles (Black Eagles) which have become proud symbols of this majestic garden. This is a great place to meet up with a few friends and go for a hike up to the top of the waterfall or just a walk in general around the gardens and bird hide. It does get really hot, even in winter, so I would recommend going in the morning as soon as they open. There are plenty... More

We had our photo shoot for our engagement there and it was excellent. We loved the plants, the secret places. Picnic places and wide open spaces for kids to run around and play.

A lovely peaceful place to relax and spend quality time. We took some snacks and had them there. We found a nice spot on the grass under a tree with shade. It was a very hot day so we didn't walk through the park. I actually had a small nap as well.

Attended the Soul Inspired Concert. Definitely the right place to host a gospel concert. Nothing added only nature at its best.

This is an ideal picnic spot (note no braais allowed). You can hire a trolley with porter to carry your picnic hampers chairs etc. for R15 in car park. There is a R40 pp entrance fee so worthwhile spending a bit of time here. Stunning waterfall, dam with bird hide. Plenty of gentle walks and a tougher hike. Beautiful and... More
