It is the best way to explore the history and people's life in the city. Cycle in Soweto is the best choice. The assistant manager came to the Capital 20 West to pick me up, gave a very nice introduction to the city. Tumi Khonkhobe is an excellent company for the cycling.

Today we (5 Dutch people) went on a Cycle Tour through Soweto and Lerato was our guide. The Tour was very interesting, relaxed, personal and divers. Lerato told good stories, had lots of local contacts who were great. We Lerato ( this means ' love ') Soweto.

Do not just do the touristy things, see Soweto off the beaten path, really good. There is alot of political dialog, that is part fo the tour. It is an easy ride, small hills

Best combination of tourist and detours events you can have with knowledgable, very attentive guide. Good service being available at 9am when calling at 7.30am. Just the bike could have been better.

We went on a combined Soweto gospel & cycle tour about 2 weeks ago. We had a great day! Busi, her 2 guides Lerato & Tsepo, showed us a fantastic day. The gospel and church service was wonderful, and then the cycle tour was great fun. We saw Orlando Towers, Orlando stadium, Mandela's house, the Hector Pieterson memorial, the old... More

When we parked our car next to the Hector Pieterson museum, we were directly approached by Pule, our guide. Guess our skin color made it quite obvious what we came for. After a cup of coffee, we stepped on our bikes. We spoke with the mother of a South African celebrity, visited Pule's high school, ate a deep fried snack,... More

This was one of our best days of our visit to South Africa. Our guides, Pule and Lita were locals knowing everything about the area and most of the people too. We were taken to places we would never otherwise have seen and introduced to Pule's family too. The tour should have been four hours but we ended up taking... More

An amazing tour that went around Soweto for four hours. Everything that I had read and heard about Soweto was wrong - it is a bustling township that has a sense of community that would make most cities envious. As a guide Jazz was entertaining, informative and engaging - everything you would want from a tour guide. Cycling enabled you... More

My husband and I hired bikes from Cycle in Soweto for Critical Mass in Joburg last night. The guys arrived on time and were great fun, they treated us like old friends! It was so easy for us - pick up the bikes at the start line and drop them at the end. No fussing around. The guys rode the... More

The bike tour was really great. We saw Mandela's house, went to the local brewery, and road around the city. We got lunch in a non-touristy cafe and ate near a popular rode. It was really amazing learning all the history about Soweto and our guide answered all of our questions and took a lot of pictures of us! Great... More
