After much research I decided to do this drive from West to East. I see a lot of people speaking of the dangers, but it's not to bad if you follow the speed limit signs and go west to east, and i wouldn't do it after nightfall. When closer to Oatman, watch for wild burros. Really scenic. I think if... More

I have driven over the pass before and enjoyed the narrow curves in my Miata. This trip I drove Rte. 66 from the California border through Oatman over Sitgreaves Pass and into Kingman. It's a nice drive on a sunny day, especially with the top down (although dusty). I am amazed when I see people in RVs and larger vehicles... More

This was a cool route leaving Oatman Az.It wasn't as steep as some suggested. There were few places wide enough for photos but some cool rock formations as you come down from the summit to the valley. Burro/donkey signs. We didn't see any outside of Iatnan but apparently they are there. Very nice, scenic route that will lead you to I-40 or Route... More

This road, from Kingman to Oatman, is really fun for the adventurous driver, climbing and swooping with blind curves and tight hairpins. See Cool Springs Station on your way up, if you are attentive enough - you might spot Shaffer Fish Bowl Springs before the summit. We noticed the stairs carved into the cliff while stopping to view wild burros,... More

We drove Sitgreaves Pass from Oatman to Kingman, Arizona. As such, we were on the easier side to drive the pass as we were along the hill side instead of the drop off side. There is an active mine to view on the first part of the drive. Then one gets to the Pass area. Sitgreaves Pass is at 3550... More

We are fortunate this piece of history is still available to us. My dad was a truck driver in the 1920's, hauling steel over this old 'Kingman Grade'. Yes, it is curvy (very) with some straight drops, so just drive s-l-o-w and enjoy it. After all, it is only 4.5 miles.

A great stop on the switch backs to Oatman. We enjoyed driving the road and really liked a stop at the pass to take in an incredible view.

When you follow old Route66 from Kingman to Oatman you automatically pass by this location. Don't just pass by but stop and take a godo look at the scenery. As a friend of mine says, it is so beautoful there you cannot take an ugly photograph!

From Kingman to Oatman Sitgreaves is at the top. A great view of the valley on the east and a site of Laughlin all the way on the west. If you stop at Sitgreaves you are stopping in a place of history back to the Beale trail. You can hike up to the USGS markers where the original wagon trail... More
