This was a fun stop while we traveled Route 66. The small gift shop has beautiful handmade jewelry and great old items collected because of their historical interest, especially those associated with Route 66. Please have cash ready because the store does not have reliable internet service for credit cards.

Let's face it, the only reason you'd be this far off the beaten path is because you're going to or from Oatman and if you liked Oatman, you'll like Cool Springs Station. It's right on the route so take a few extra minutes and stop. At the very least you'll learn some very interesting history about this place.

Very simple. Got to hand it to the owner to rebuild after all but the stone was burned up about 15 years ago. Not much of a museum, but fun. On the way from Kingman to Oatman and Sitgreaves Pass. Both highly recommended.

Cool Springs Station (Ed's Camp) - A must-stop for all road warriors on Historic Route 66. Gorgeous view, terrific building and oh-so-friendly people working here.

This place was a great little stop on the way from Kingman to Oatman along historic 66. We did not have much time, so we did not go inside, but it was a great spot to reflect on the history of route 66 and to take some pictures of this little piece of history.

This place has an interesting history! Stop in and ask about it. They have a modest museum collection and offer snacks and drinks. The place used to be famous for fried chicken; perhaps they will expand in the future.

Interesting story behind this gas station. Built, in the mid 1920's on Route 66, in the mid '60's it burned to the ground. It was rebuilt in 2001 by the new owner. These are just the highlights. It is not necessary, but might be interesting to read more online before visiting. The woman we met who runs the "station" was... More

The station was not open when I went by but it still offers some excellent photo opportunities, and it's a good place to stop and stretch your legs.

We went to the store, looked at the exhibits, and took some photos. This is a classic place to take a photo of a historic Route 66 gas station. The views of the desert are beautiful so great place for that too. Cool Springs Station is on Sitgreaves Pass just after you pass the summit on your way from Oatman... More
