A quaint venue with a detailed history of Westville and the way the settlers managed on arrival .Excellent artifacts from the isiZulu and Indian community. A real multi- cultural learning experience!

OK, you have to make sure you visit when they open. But if you get that right it's like stepping back in time. The house is as it was a hundred years ago with rooms filled with ancient items, dresses, etc. It's not a mega museum but rather a small village time capsule. If you go expecting to experience Westville... More

must be honest not much of an attraction, attended a morning market and took the time to go through the museum which I suppose was OK but no great shakes, just think that for a historic site not much advertising or actually anything to attract a person to recommend it

Lovingly restored, and run on a shoe string, this museum is well set out, displaying the clothes and utensils of yesteryear. Fascinating and interesting.

If you ever wanted to know more about the history of Westville and the early German settlers then this is a must-see destination. Well looked after and full of enough interesting tidbits to keep you interested for around an hour. It would be great to have a coffee / souvenir shop open at the same time.
