The three day tour with the rangers Moses and Ob was just fantastic! Everything was perfect - the weather, the accomodation (simple but clean and the showers even had hot water), the food, the hikes and the rangers. Walking with them through the bush and...More

From beginning to end, the Wolhuter Wilderness Trail did exceeded all of my expectations. Moses and Jobe were about as informed, passionate and knowledgeable as one could imagine. Moses knew it all, Jobe identified every single bird and bird call for the entire trip! He...More

This is a must do while in Kruger ! Our guides kennet and Moses were full of knowledge and have the best bush eyes for spotting ! We saw lots of rhinos, giraffes, elephants, zebras and much more while walking. We also saw bushmans paintings...More

An unforgettable experience! Exceeded our expectations! Everything was perfect - food, lodging, ablutions and of course, sightings were unbelievable! A waterhole just outside our camp with sightings of all animals, and loud animal sounds at night! Excellent rangers who risk their lives to show us...More

The trail is exactly what they sell: an experience within the bush. You don't feel a plain and simple spectator, but a member of the rich environment. The facilities are all that you can expect: two beds, a couple of clean bathrooms and a delicious...More

Have done 4 of these trails now, and this one seems least well subscribed... no idea why, because it's great! Same formula: 3 nights, 2 days of hiking. About 30mins west of Berg en Dal, this exclusive camp is located under large trees and overlooks...More

Having done most of the Wilderness Trails in the park, I was expecting more of the same. But I was positively surprised. The setting next to the waterhole provides for day- (and night) long interest, with elephant, rhino and buffalo being regular visitors. The lion...More

Wolhuter trail is one of my best experience ever! Everything was perfect. The rangers pick you up at 3pm at berg en Dale. 20km later you arrive at Wolhuter camp. Days begins between 4:30 and 6:00 with a first walk. Then coming back for rest...More

We drove all the trails we could in the Kruger and ended up spotting 4 of the Big 5 animals that live in the Kruger.

I am not a member of Sanparks, just a fellow traveller, but I know you can book single wilderness walks when you stay at any of the rest camps inside the Kruger Park. You need to book with Sanparks though.

Possibly. Not aware of any fatalities though. We had a guide let off a warning shot at an ellie that got annoyed with us - that was scary! But all survived. The guides are sharp as pins! I'd be more worried about snakes... More
