Not sure why this one is least popular...

Have done 4 of these trails now, and this one seems least well subscribed... no idea why, because it's great! Same formula: 3 nights, 2 days of hiking. About 30mins west of Berg en Dal, this exclusive camp is located under large trees and overlooks a very active watering hole: worth coming just for access to that! Accommodation is small... More

Having done most of the Wilderness Trails in the park, I was expecting more of the same. But I was positively surprised. The setting next to the waterhole provides for day- (and night) long interest, with elephant, rhino and buffalo being regular visitors. The lion at night was an unexpected bonus. The bushman paintings were spectacular and the trail is... More

Wolhuter trail is one of my best experience ever! Everything was perfect. The rangers pick you up at 3pm at berg en Dale. 20km later you arrive at Wolhuter camp. Days begins between 4:30 and 6:00 with a first walk. Then coming back for rest and going back walking at 4pm. Rangers are so interesting! They know so much and... More

We drove all the trails we could in the Kruger and ended up spotting 4 of the Big 5 animals that live in the Kruger.

Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our 2 1/2 week trip to South Africa. Our rangers, Moses and Delphine, were friendly and knowledgeable. We were fortunate to only have 4 people in our group. What a pleasure to feel so close to the land. The morning walks always included something wonderful, from spotting a rhinoceros to looking at... More

I would recommend everybody visiting Kruger to take this (or one of the other) wilderness trails. It was an experience of a lifetime for me. With a group of 8 participants plus 2 guides we spent two superb days and three nights in the bush. We got up early to start our morning walk while it was still cool and... More

1st time on this trail having done 10 previous trails in KNP. Rangani goes about his business in a quiet but thoroughly professional manner and was ably assisted by Shaun. The camp is in good condition and the food was good. The waterhole at the camp also provided some great close views of game. The area is very different to... More

In and around Kruger you have the opportunity to live in luxury and view tons of game close up from your car. Instead you could choose to go on a wilderness trail, see less animals and when you see it, see it from further away. If this does not scare you away, you would like to live in a camp... More
