We arrived in Graskop late in the day so we spent the night in a lovely hotel and walked to Lisbon falls at 7am. After a week of rain, the falls were overflowing and absolutely stunning. The ladies selling their souvenirs all came together and...More

Set between hills just north of Graskop, water cascades down for over a 100 ft into a deep pool, surrounded by gorgeous landscape.

I must admit that I had never heard of this waterfall. We stopped here en route to somewhere else. The falls are beautiful : we saw them after it had rained the day before.

Beautiful falls. Nice scenery. Curio shops block your way in but once you get past them you can find the paths and viewing points. Roads leading to the falls need attention - lots of potholes! The toilets and walkways also need upgrading.

Though the Lisbon fall is pretty and the admission is cheap there are many attractions on the route which are better. So if you are pressed for time skip it. If you have time, enjoy.

These falls are small in size but wonderful in nature. I guess it is best to visit them during or just after summer rains to see them in their fullness.

Torrential rainfall of 115 mm the day before our visit made the falls spectacular, Good parking close to attraction with locals selling goods.
