I have been there numerous times and I am always fascinated by the guaranteed sightings of many hippos and the great probability of seeing crocodiles and fish eagles. Once I have even seen a cheetah. The "official" parks board boat is nice, but their tour guides who are supposed to give explanations about the wildlife there have deteriorated and leave... More

After Swaziland we came here for two nights and really wished we'd stayed longer. We went on the turtle trip and saw a leopard on the way there and baby turtles (hatchlings) making their way to the sea. We also went on a self drive on the west shore and a sunset boat trip on the estuary where we saw... More

There are lots of hippo, there is no way you can visit without seeing one. Take a nice cruise along the estuary with a guide who can get up close to them.

Off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. We didn't see any big cats, but lots of hippos! The night safari was not worth the money, but it was still a lot of fun.

This park is pretty small by African standards, meaning that you stand a reasonable chance of seeing the animals, we saw rhino elephant leopard bushpigs kudu and impala, as well as birds a plenty, the beach is stunning, but very exposed, so excercise caution and sense if swimming. Watch out for thieving monkies if you are eating near the trees,... More

We went on a cruise and saw a lot of hippos and beautiful birds. It was a very pleasant cruise, but avoid hot days.

We were a group of 45 people and had a great time on board of a boat that took us around to see the hippos and lots of wonderful birds.

Very good 1 1/2 boat trip on St Lucia estuary. We went on the large adventure boat , saw 40+ hippos including a pod of eight out of the water on the bank. Also saw a couple of crocodiles and plenty of wild birds. The commentary given by the captain was full of very interesting facts. I would recommend this... More

Beware of the crocodiles and do not go close to the water around the estuary. Stay on the decked promenade and do not step anywhere to make a wee. We were in a group and one of us had a nasty shock as he spotted a croc under a bush after he finished relieving himself. The signs are there for... More

We were expecting quite a bit from St Lucia; kayaking, hiking and horse riding. But none of these activities were there in dec 2016. A big big disappointment and all that people do here is fish, boat around and drink. If you are looking for outdoor adventure please go somewhere else. The tour operators (all 6 that we talked to)...
