We spent a wonderful 8 days in this park. The scenery is spectacular, as is the wildlife. The southern half allows for better game viewing. We found that towards Nossob and further north, the road is low and the vegetation on the edges of the...More

We stayed at Urikaruus and the River Chalets in Mata Mata. Loved the quiet and beautifull vistas. Lots of birds. Not so crowded as The Kruger Park when you spot game. No traffic jams. Shops stock all the basics in Nossob , Twee Rivieren and...More

This park offered us the best opportunity so far in viewing lions, cheetahs, and birds of prey. Entrance costs 304.00R per person per day and if you want to enter from one gate, and come out of another then you must stay inside the park...More

We had our first trip here in June 2017 after a few trips to other parks in South Africa. The location of this park in the Kalahari desert is unique, and there are fewer visitors compared to Kruger and similar parks. The roads aren't in...More

Although there are a limited amount of roads you can drive on, take your time when driving on those that are accessible. There are an abundance of creatures hiding in the scrub and plenty of birds renowned for their hunting skills. Take time and watch...More

Our visit to Kalagadi was fantastic. Game viewing was outstanding and bird life exceptional. Accommodation was good and clean but could do with some maintenance.

The answers are correct. Best option is to fly Cape Town, then Upington. Would recommend a 4WD vehicle, though not necessity. There is fuel at the park, both at Twee Rivieren and Mata Mata, but not sure about Nossob.
