The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. We had a fantasy four days at Sun City, visiting the Valley of the Waves every day for 4 days. The kids had a ball and went on almost every ride. The facilities are great, and the new restaurants provide better food and drink options. The two new rides are definitely worth going on multiple times. One tip, get there... More

Visited the valley of the waves over the long weekend for the first time. Nothing spectacular. However the kids around us were having a blast. Went on the lazy river which was quite fun. Staff at rentals were a bit unfriendly. Guy at the lockers was helpful.

As guests of the hotel we were given free access to the Valley of the Waves. This was just as well as we popped in late afternoon, only to find out that the venue was closing at 4pm due to a private function - however the lifeguards knocked off at 3.30 so it cut down on our time there quite... I think everyone's experience of the valley of the waves really will depend on the time of year you travel. We fortunately tend to travel there in April each year, but outside of the school holidays where all the attractions are VERY quiet, and there are no lines. Yes this gives it a somewhat tainted point of view, however it... More

It was actually excruciating. I cannot understand why they dont replace the sand with proper soft beach sand. I would be reluctant to... More

Man made beach but it is beautiful. Gets very busy over the weekends. More fun during the week, more shady spots for a hot day.

This is the best place to be when you are in Sun City and the North West region, you cannot visit the area without coming here. Out of this world slides, pools and the valleys are just amazing for family, kids and everyone
