We went with Pietro for an early start which meant we missed all the rush hour and got the cooler temperatures for a more pleasant hiking experience. We did the Skeleton Gorge via Maclear's Beacon to the Front table. It was just the right intensity for us and Pietro was very good at gauging our ability level. He was also... More

Margaret was referred to me by another highly regarded Cape Town Guide. She was detail oriented prior to the hike giving me several options based on what I wanted to see and my level of fitness. She was prompt in responding to me and arrived on time. I appreciated her knowledge of the area and the local flora. She took... More

My friend and I visited Cape Town in Nov 16 and booked to walk up Table Mountain with Margaret. I'm not very fit, and was worried I would struggle - but Margaret was great at putting my mind at rest and said we could turn around at any point if needed. It wasn't necessary though, as i managed it a... More

We were recommended this experience by friends who have twice walked up Table Mountain with Margaret and we therefore booked up the walk "Kasteelspoort via Valley of the Red Gods to Front Table". It's an early start, but that is certainly the best time to do it due to the heat. Margaret guided us up and pointed out some great... More

We booked Margaret to take us as part of a group up table mountain on the Kasteelspoort via Valley of the Red Goods route. The only other member of our group was a nice retired guy from Canada. Margaret picked us up at our hotel in Sea Point at 6.45 AM and drove us all to Theresa Ave in Camps... More

We were in Cape Town at end of our 3 week road trip. We wanted to do a traverse of the mountain from Kasteelpoort (ascent) to Platerklip Gorge (descent). Lynette was our guide for the day and she was awesome. We felt really looked after and could relax and enjoy the scenery and amazing vistas. The valleys we walked through... More

Me and my 64 years young mum climed Platteklip Gorge with Pietro. He was really great and let us go at a pace that suited us. He had plenty of little stops for us to dit down on a comfy flat rock on the way up. He was informative and up front about the hike ahead and the risk of... More

A team of us went up Table Mountain as a team building exercise. There was a group of us of varying ages and fitness levels. Best time to go is early as when we came down in the cable car it was heaving. We arrived at the bottom of the mountain at 6am. We were lucky as the weather was... More

We hired Margaret to take hike with us up Table Mountain via the Kasteelpoort trail. We are both in fairly good shape, and this hike was rather challenging that took about 3.5hrs, but well worth the hike! We took the cable car on the way down which I would highly recommend. Margaret is friendly, experienced, and very knowledgeable of the... More

Many guide books said we should get a guide to help us up table mountain ... However, I do a fair bit of hiking, and found a free good map with description of where the walk started and ended, and gave the usual sensible advice... Beware of changes in weather, wear good footwear, take plenty of water and food. We... More
