The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

An excellent area for a leisurely walk, some exercise or a picnic. the gardens and lawns are lovingly cared for. Even better is that the water if free from mountain streams coming off Table Mountain.

I am so surprised that so few Cape Townians know about this garden. It is quite extraordinary what has been achieved here and the garden lends itself to a good walk or a quiet hour...somehow a secret tucked away, but in the midst of it...More

Never judge a book by it's cover - and that's what we discovered when we visited Green Point Park. This is one thing they got right. It's both a place for quiet rest and relaxation, but with plenty for the kids to do, and which...More

Well worth a stroll (or cycle if you have a bicycle) in the beautifully managed park. Take a small picnic basket and enjoy time together.

Not the best day to visit the park but we went for a walk in the rain. Did not manage to locate the golf clubhouse though
