The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

This beautifull and divers park is a heritage of the world sports event. Fortunately it is excellent maintained in a continuous manner. Some interesting walks provide information for youngsters and adults. In many places people are squatting and relaxing. Good access by public transport.

Never too crowded, biodiversity area very informative, yet casual. Can chill with a picnic. Great kids play areas, both for smaller kids and older kids.

If you want to chill, relax in the park, play with children or do some roller skate/blades, or just walk and enjoy some ducks passing by, it is a very nice park to do just that. :)

I’ve been here so many times it feels odd to write a review. Each season is a revelation with the new plants coming into bloom. The stadium, mountain and the sea are all backdrops to this stunning park depending which direction you are headed. Over...More
