Great way to spend half a day learning about traditional South African cuisine and at the same time visiting 3 diverse areas of Joburg. Fascinating visit to organic vegetable growing program on a small holding near Ellis Park. Plenty to eat and entertaining guide!

My wife and I chose their Jazz Tour. It was incredible. We were welcomed into the home of two legendary jazz musicians and it was like we were old friends. One lived in a township, which, of course, was a bit of culture shock. But...More

I booked this tour through iVenture card premium package though I'm sure you can book direct with them. I did the chorus tour and it was absolutely delightful. I was given to attend exquisite performances by highly talented people, who couldn't hide their deep passion...More

This is advertised as a “Jazz Safari”, but there were precious few jazz sightings on it. Instead, it is essentially a field trip to the homes of two different local musicians who perform solo in their living rooms while you watch. One of them serves...More

We took the "Jazz safari" in a group 7 strong; it was not as advertised. We were taken to the homes of 2 musicians, one a legitimate jazz player, the other a multi-instrumentalist music teacher and performer. There had clearly been inadequate communication ahead of...More

The Coffee Bean Tours made our trip to Capetown superb! We went on the Choral Music Tour and the Art Safari. We loved being able to go to people's houses and hear their music. Our guide, Sabs, was wonderful! The one caveat was that we...More

In a word, Excellent! At first I was disappointed to be the only guest but it became a unique experience to have deeper conversation with the musicians about the S. African (and world) jazz scene and to get to know them as people as well...More

One of the surprise highlights on a two week trip to South Africa, the "jazz safari" experience in Cape Town was a charming and delightful, as well as educational, experience that I'd recommend to any music lover or anyone who'd like to better understand arts...More

The evening spent in the company of a small group of tourists (5) plus guides in the homes of two Cape Town jazz icons was truly a special experience. Not only was it fun to meet and hear each of the musicians in their own...More
