If u r looking for some fun time for kids, this place tops the list in cape town. U get to c a full grown ostrich skeleton other than lots of informative displays about ostriches. Get a chance to test the strength of ostrich eggs by standing on them!!! The guides are very friendly and liberal, lots of ostriches to... More

A hidden gem on our doorstep offers a tranquil scenic and educational experience. For those who enjoy the delicacy of ostrich, this is the place. The restaurant offers a large variety of ostrich dishes dominating the menu but there is something for everyone. Its a beautiful venue for any occasion around the boma. Whether one visits to escape the hussle... More

Absolutely loved it. The ranger who showed us round was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to feed the ostriches by hand and he was happy to answer our questions etc. We met Tom Thumb who is the worlds smallest Ostrich and we then had the opportunity to sit on the adult ostriches for photos. They also have a... More

The best of all. Tourism. Food and ostrich steaks. Unbelievable friendly. Just outside Cape Town, the Mothercity of South Africa, 40 minutes drive.

An enjoyable visit with a good guide taking you through some interesting exhibits about ostriches. You can feed some ostriches, touch them and finally sit on the back of one for picture taking.

Invited for lunch by a friend we first did the tour which was very interesting and educational. Look out also for the crocodiles and chetahs! Ostrich fillet was cooked to perfection and served with simple vegetables. Tried the "craft" gin & tonic from the micro brewery on site, very good. The shop has a good selection of quality ostrich and... More

I have been a couple of times whilst showing guests around and each time they have purchased items from the shop. Very relaxed and a pleasant restaurant.

Very touristy place but has potential if they offered a " locals are lekker " special on the menu like some tourist spots do elsewhere ... good food ... average prices ... guided tour a little expensive for a local person

The Ostrich Ranch is about 40 minutes from Cape Town on good roads. Amongst the hills with a good view of the distant Table Mountain one is truly in the country. Our interest was to have a lunchtime outing with friends. We started with beer samples from the local artisinal brewery. For lunch we settled on the 3 course menu... More

We drove the 30 kms distance from "V & A Waterfront" on the "N7 Highway" and realized that the ostrich farm was definitely in a completely isolated location from the normal public transport routes. Finally at 1030 hrs reached "Cape Town Ostrich Ranch" situated at Philadelphia, Cape Town. The farm is situated on the sea facing slopes of Durban hills and has...
