Our guide brought us here just before noon and we enjoyed the view and history.... yes it’s cheesy but I’m sure kids would especially be happy here! With Table Mountain closed due to wind, a nice Lternative view of the city too!

We enjoyed our viewing of the daily firing of the gun but had we not done so as part of of a city tour we would have found it difficult to find and access.

This is a cool throwback to distant times. The first time I heard the Noon Gun, I was climbing up a steep trail on Table Mountain. I had paused to catch a view of the magnificent city and BOOM! Very thrilling!

Make sure you get there before noon as there is not much else to see. Yes, the view is nice but the action is seeing and hearing the canon go off. Wherever you are in CT at noon you will hear this canon so it's...More

It was fun to see this event which has happened 66,265 times, between the two cannons. Interesting presentation, and a loud boom!

The roads are too narrow for a coach bus to make it to the place where a cannon fires every day at noon since the early 1800s. So, don't expect any crowds here. Getting here by 11:40 am, you get to hear a nice explanation...More
