This is an extensive, somewhat technical museum about the early fortifications and settlement of Cape Town - and one views the exhibits while seeing the actual foundations of batteries from the 1600s. This is complemented by an excellent photo exhibit by an outstanding photojournalist on...More

Dear PeterBrink, Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed the high standard on show. It saddens me to share with you that visitors to the V&A Waterfront do so for the shopping and eating as that is what is advertised and...More

Visited with colleagues. Was well received by Dale and introduced to the history of the museum. Coming from a military background makes this a special visit. It is wonderful to see to what extent the site was preserved when the excavation was done. This is...More

For underwater and history lovers, I think this will be the right place. Expensive ticket 100 rand for a museum with no visitors at all. Spend 10-15 minuets only to see everything. Wallpapers, free WiFi, old cannons and few more things.More
