Fantastic place, well worth the visit. Do go for the beach, market, views & nice town. A nice drive from Cape Town.

Hout Bay have always been a good place to visit, to enjoy the sea and seafood that goes with it. An attraction for foreign visitors too. Although there are unsightly settlements on the outskirts, it is a must to visit and enjoy the ambience of this beautiful place with Chapman's Peak lingering in the distance across the bay. Local Capetonians... More

I've been here 'Chapman's Peak' three or four times it's just breathtakingly beautiful that's the only description to give. At the back of Table Mountain an amazing cliff drive up to to the peak park up soak up the view and you will find yourself smiling. Carry onto Hout Bay, the markets are worth a look around and there is... More

Hout Bay is a scenic town along the Atlantic seaboard. We found it to have a relaxed vibe, with a number of tasty restaurants. When in town, take a drive up Chapman's Peak Drive to enjoy the sunset - those are really beautiful! Also visiting the seals at Duiker Island is a recommended activity

We stopped here on our way to Cape Town. It's a small waterfront area boasting a handful of souvenir shops, coffee shops and restaurants. The marina is a nice place to watch the boats and the seals. The beach is beautiful and the nearby nighttime market is nice. Though day or night you must be vigilant to watch those around... More

Photos taken in this area are beautiful. We visited on a very windy day and there was so much sand blwoing across the road that a catepillar machine was not able to keep up with the drifts. Restaurants, a grocery, and boats in the harbor make this a great place to while away a few hours.

probably the prettiest view in Cape Town it is on the Blue Route on the City Sightseeing tours: next stop after Imizamo Yethu . I was deciding to where to get off: Imizamo Yethu or Hout Bay since I only had time for one of them. I chose Hout Bay and I am glad I did. Next time I am... More

I have visited Hout Bay previously and always thought it a pretty little place but on our trip last month, the weather was fantastic and the views across to Cape Town central were absolutely amazing. My husband grew up in what was then a tiny town, but is now a fairly large and developed area, so it was a trip... More
