I would highly recommend doing the sunrise hike. I went with a group and felt safer, but could be done solo. Some climbing over rocks towards the top, but you can take an easier way to avoid it. This is a must do!

This stunning hill is massive, the climb starts gently and becomes very hard towards the end. Take the right shoes, flip flops are completely inadequate! Have plenty of water with you and check the time of sunset. It’s not at all safe to hike down...More

I am not a very sporty person, not very experienced in hiking, so for me this was quite exhausting. But it was worth it, the view is amazing! I'd recommend wearing closed shoes, no flip flops!! And take enough water with you. And suncream. And:...More

Its a relatively easy hike/walk that takes anyware from 45 min to 2 hours depending on fitness and how busy the mountain is. Definitely more traffic than there used to be years back, but the view from the top makes it all worth it!

Beautiful view of Cape Town and the ocean and definitely worth a visit.. Safety is a concern at night and would go in a group. During the day it is fine but be vigilant.

A visit up Table Mountain is not complete until you have crested or submitted Lion's head. to make it fun and easy you need hiking shoes or a simple trainer and track pants, we did it when it was cloudy and misty, boy the pictures...More

Technically, no closing time. As mentioned above it is a mountain which you can hike at your own risk. If going at sunrise or sunset, remember it's dark before the sun comes up, as well as after it goes down. (Surprising I... More

Toward the end, it can get very challenging for the little ones. However you can hike up and have a great view even before it gets too steep. If your kid likes walking and some “adventure”, I saw quite a few little ones... More
