The safari and staff were great at the Aquila Game Reserve we stayed over night on a trip from Cape Town. The only criticism would be that the food was standard nothing spectacular but a nice trip out of the city

I had reservations about going here because when I told someone that I would be going to this safari, they told me that the experience would be like riding on a tram through the zoo. Nonetheless I booked it and am thoroughly glad that I...More

We spent the day in this amazing reserve. Safari experience was great (thanks to Brandon). Staff is super kind, scenario is breathe taking and the hotel is well kept and very clean. Cover yourself up because it’s cold and windy (on Summer), but definitely recommended!!!

It was a good choice as its the closest safari to Cape Town (approx 2 1/2 hrs with a scenic drive) but it feels more like a zoo. We did one night as it was fully booked. So we did the safari in the afternoon...More

Aquila is a private game reserve. Hence all animals are fenced in, well looked after and not particularly menacing. Nevertheless they take you on a two hour safari ride in "proper safari jeeps" where you see elephants, lions, giraffes, wildebeest, hippopotamus, rhinoceros and others. This...More

Hi Yes, the roads can be very bumpy at times. It is really hard to tell if it would be too bumpy, you decide what you think will be the best.
