Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

The drive there is terrific with great views on Knysna. The beach is beautiful and worth a visit. We saw Oyster Catcher birds on the rocks. There is a cafe which served great coffees and homemade treats.

From Brenton on Sea to Buffels Bay and back. Just be sure to consult the tide table first, to avoid wet shoes!

Spent part of an afternoon here, what a stunning location. A walk on the beach is a must and don't forget your camera as the breakers on the shore make great pictures.

Parking must be at a premium in summer months but late winter OK. A magnificent beach and ideal for walkers. Coffee shop and cafe if looking for something to eat. Nice views on approach also.

Took a drive out to see what damage the fire did. So sad to see the destruction. It will recover, so you should definitely visit.

We ventured to Brenton on our way back to George from Knysna and what a sight to witness the deep effects of the blazes that recently hit the area. Very sad for all involved. The slight smell of rotting fired wood was noticeable but only...More
