Boardwalk through forest and large trees

If you have never seen trees or a board walk then just maybe this would be worth while. It took 20minutes to walk and apart from a snail we didn't see a thing. May have been bad luck but I can't see it being worth a visit for most people.

We stopped here for a quick look, and it turned out to be a 30 minute walk along a boardwalk through a forest of tall trees. Parking was difficult (there are some mountain bike trails that start here), and they charge an entry fee - a few dollars for SA citizens but heaps more for tourists, and even more for... More

We visited on a poor day weatherwise. A sunny day would be better. Lots of unusual birds free flying. Cosy little cafe with friendly staff.

Wonderful .I think you need time to spend in there and the longer you stay in more you see . Our car was safe and we felt very safe in the forest .

Didn't see any birds or wildlife so wouldn't recommend. Nice walk but overpriced. Good for wheelchair users.

Simply amazing.... we were open mouthed at all the amazing birds flying around and coming up close to us. Couldn't believe how big it is and how much there is to discover. The flamingos I loved and even the cafe was great!

Most other reviewers on this site seem to think they are reviewing "Birds of Eden", which is a completely different attraction. This is essentially a figure of 8 boardwalk through the woods, totaling no more than 1.5 km in total. Yes, you can see a bit of wildlife if you look hard enough, but generally I would say this was... On a recent trip to Knysna we decided to stop and visit the Garden of Eden. What a pleasure to be able to view this protected part of the forest up close. The beauty of this area is a must to see and even in the mid summer heat it was cool under the canopy of trees. The walk way... More

We stopped off en route along the N2 for a bite to eat and to see something different. Spectacular collection of birds. Good facilities and the food was good too. This was a highlight of my daughter's trip to RSA. She is aged 9.
