Safari Ostrich Farm, established in 1956, welcomes you to the ostrich capitol of the world - Oudtshoorn. On arrival, you will meet one of our professional guides, who will take you on an unforgettable tour, where you will learn more about these remarkable birds and their fascinating nature. The guided tour includes a fun ride on one of our tractors through a huge ostrich breeding camp with 18 adult breeding birds around you - a truly unique experience in itself. Safari Ostrich Show Farm is the first show farm in South Africa where the Kenyan Red and Zimbabwe Blue Ostriches as well as the local South African breed can be viewed.

Included in our 18-day tour of South Africa was a visit to the farm. It was established in 1956 as a tourist activity, and is definitely now a part of the tourist trail. Beginning with a tractor "safari," we were taken around an area of...More

For only 130 rand each, you get a lovely tour. Keep in mind this is a farm: they grow the ostriches for economic reasons. All in all a nice experience, especially with young kids. We were kindly welcomed and could join the tour already headed...More

Tour was interesting and fun. The ostriches are left free to run, so a few close up encounters. Highly recommended.

Went to Safari for lunch and to visit the shop which has a wide range of tasteful and well merchandised handbags, wallets, belts clothes and curio items, most with an "ostrich" theme. Had an ostrich wrap with salad. One of the best wraps I have...More

We went on a tractor ride and ostriches came up to our face. They chased the tractor for food and it was an amazing experience. Sit at the back of the tractor for pictures of ostriches chasing you.
