It's more farm than safari. But the guide was enthousiastic and knew how to entertain his audience. The ostriches know that too. They do what is expected: pose for a photo, eat of the spon, etc. Fortunately the animals doesn't have to run races with people on the back. We got an impression of the farm but in the shop... More

We did the Tractor Tour with our experienced and friendly tour guide Jonty who shared interesting information about the ostriches. It was great fun to see the people that was brave enough to ride on the ostriches! Some people had a chance to sit on an ostrich for a photo.

We did the 1 hour tour. Very friendly guides with lots of information to share. Guides were quite knowledgable. Had so much fun with the tractor drive especially when ostriches wanted to get a piece of the action! Well worth it. Loved it!

Thank you for your review ! Our tractor drive through the big breeding camps (unique to us) allows you to get really close to these giant birds without being in harms' way. No better way of observing ostriches and getting an insight into their unique behaviour and attributes. Thank you for your visit and feedback. More

You won't need more than a couple of hours here, but this is very much worth the trip. Very information and very fun, these giant birds are highly interesting to learn about and intrigued about you visiting them. Very good guide and worth the visit for sure.

Thank you for your review ! Ostriches are curious by nature and with their impressive size makes for good fun on the guided tour. They are very interesting animals in deed and I am glad you had a great time whilst visiting us. Thank you for your feedback. More

If you have time enough, than go to Safari Ostrich Show Farm. But if you are in hurry, don't go there. It was really fun, but it's nothing spectacular. Really good for children.

A tour of Safari costs a bit more than R120 per adult and R60 per child. It takes about an hour and comprises a brief tractor tour of the Zimbabwean 'blue' ostriches, Kenyan 'red' and more aggressive ostriches, and the tall South African ostriches. It also includes a walk through of the incubators, a chance to stand on an egg... More

Thank you for your review ! The part of the guided tour where you get a chance to feed them is a great inter-active and photo opportunity - they are not gentle though as you have mentioned (lack a bit of table manners) and hence we provide you with long spoons to feed them with for you are a bit... Well organised and great fun. We were late arriving and the owners couldn't have been more helpful re-organising our lunch to fit around the tour.

Out your guide CJ was knowledgeable and we had an amazing visit at this ostrich farm. Appreciated how well looked after the ostriches are and that there is no mishandling of these beautiful creatures. We learnt a lot about the ostriches and were made to feel very comfortable with the animals as well. CJ you rock!

It was a huge experience for the children but the guide could move a little slower through all the different stages.

Thank you for your review and I take notice of your suggestion for our guide to have a more "slower" pace on the tour. We have found in the past that if our tours are to long the visitors loose interest and also the heat can be to much for some of our older guests. Thank you for your visit... More
